Q - The projected image is all green / pink / red etc.
A - Refit the cable connecting the computer to the projector. If the problem does not correct itself, the cable will need to be replaced as the pins could have been damaged in use.
 
Q - The remote control does not work
A - Firstly check the batteries in the remote. Are there any other sensors, other than those on the projector, which could be interfering with the signal? Is there anything stopping the signal being received by the projectors receivers. (The black opaque panels on the projector). Also check the distance the signal is being sent. The normal operating distance is 5 metres, but remember the weaker the batteries the lower the distance.
 
Q - The projector does not work; there are no lights coming on.
A - Firstly try replacing the fuse in the mains cable plug, or try a different socket. If the situation continues consult the projector manufacturer.
 
Q - How do I get the lamp to last longer, or not to be so bright?
A - Switch the machine into Eco Mode via the remote control. This will reduce the brightness and also extend the lamp life. Enter the menu system then: Seup - Mode - Eco Mode
 
Q - The projected image from the laptop is pink
A - Make sure the setting is on RGB and not component. This can be found within the menu system: Setup - Input format - Computer - Auto
 
Q - What type of remote control is supplied with the projector?
A - All Taxan / Plus projectors are shipped with standard remotes, with the exception of the V-339 which is credit card sized. The remote supplied with some projectors also have the capability to operate the mouse function. Consult the machine specifications within the Taxan Website .
 
Q - What is RS232 control?
A - An electronic management system that will allow for the control of the projector, as well as the room lighting, electric screen, sound systems and curtains etc. This would be supplied via a specialist reseller.
 
Q - How do I know if the lamp needs replacing?
A - The lamp will need replacing if the image has become very dim over a long period of time, it does not work, or it has reached it predicted life expectancy. The hours of usage can be found within the projectors menu system.
 
Q - Can we supply longer cables?
A - Unfortunately we can not help with this; however these can be obtained from the reseller who originally sold the machine.
 
Q - What order should I turn the machines on?
A - Firstly connect all the machines. Then turn on the projector followed by the PC.
 
Q - What security features are available for the projectors?
A - All projectors have the ability to be secured using a “Kensington” locking system. Some models within the range have security code systems built into the remote control. Please check the specification sheets within the Taxan Website.
 
Q - How do I switch from different sources (video, PC etc)?
A - Press the “source” button on either the remote control or the machine and cycle through the options.
 
Q - How long should I wait before replacing an expired lamp?
A - Allow 10 - 15 minutes for the machine to cool before fitting the replacement lamp.
 
Q - What is the warranty on the projector and the lamp?
A - All Taxan / Plus projectors are supplied with a three year loan replacement warranty. We will loan the user a machine, of similar specification, while their's is being repaired. The lamp has a warranty of 1,000 hours or six months. Please consult with the manufacturer re all faults.
 
Q - What happens if the projector is dead on arrival?
A - If the machine is reported to the manufacturer within 14 days of receipt and has been confirmed as dead on arrival we will replace the machine free of charge.
 
Q - How do I know what projector is suitable for my application?
A - Please contact Taxan customer service on 0871 984 3203.
 
Q - How can I calculate the screen size or projection distance?
A - "Within the body of the Taxan Website there is a calculator for both the existing range and obsolete models.
